A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Welcome to the website for the 2006 Calgary International Auto and Truck Show. This year’s show promises to be the most exciting yet, with marvelous new models and enhanced technologies leading the way into the latter half of this decade.
Each year, the attendance at our show increases, and year after year we see many familiar faces of those who have attended previous shows. The reason for this is those who have attended prior shows know the Calgary International Auto and Truck Show is the best-possible location to get an overview of what the auto industry has to offer for the coming year. It provides a great place to compare vehicle features, examine new model lines, and see what auto manufacturers are planning for the future.
But best of all, it’s a terrific place to compare and shop. Many of our member dealers stage "Auto Show Specials", and their professional sales staff is on hand to assist you in evaluating vehicles, and negotiating a great deal.
We also have a marvelous charity event each year to kick off the Show - the Vehicles and Violins Gala. One of Calgary’s premiere social events, the Gala features musicians of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, fine wine, an international selection of wonderful food, and an exclusive preview of the Show.
The real value of Vehicles and Violins, however, is the major boost it gives to charities in Calgary each year. Vehicles and Violins, which began in the year 2000, has now raised more than $800,000 for charities and this year will approach the $1,000,000 mark! The Calgary Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta have been selected as the recipients of monies raised at the 2006 Gala.
Vehicles and Violins takes place on the evening of Tuesday, March 7th, and a pamphlet and Ticket Order Form are available on this website. Simply click on "Vehicles and Violins" and follow the links.
I look forward to seeing you at the Calgary Roundup Centre in Stampede Park, March 8th through 12th, for this great display of new vehicles.
Sincerely
Paul Storwick
