Seat Belts and Child Restraints
Vehicle collisions cause over 200 000 injuries in Canada each year. In more than 35% of those injuries the driver or passenger was not wearing a seat belt.
Approximately 80% of children who have died in vehicle accidents were not properly restrained. The CMDA wants to help you protect your children. Transport Canada offers information on child seat recalls http://www.tc.gc.ca/roadsafety/childsafe/notiavis/en/index.htm
and a web site and video titled Cartime 1-2-3-4 Safe Seating in the "Kid Zone"
